Harstad Base - Lofoten

The base in Harstad is perfectly located to sail the Lofoten Islands as well as Vesterålen and Senja. Harstad often has different weather patterns north and south and therefore you have a great option to sail with the weather. The harbour is located in the city centre and is very easy to get to.

AIRPORT TO AND FROM THE BASE

The base is located approximately 45km from the airport.

• Flybussen takes you directly from the airport to Thon hotel and it costs around €20 Euros per person.
• Local bus is available (number 18-641).
• Taxi Harstadtaxi offers the following:

Maxitaxi (5 to 8 people) at a price of around €200 Euros

Taxi for max 4 people at a price of around €40 Euros per person.

• Rental cars several rental companies serve Evenes. There are several parking opportunities in the city centre.

BY SEA

• Ferries to/from Tromsø (3-4 departures daily) – approximately a 3 hour journey.
• Hurtigruten 2 stops/day (north going/south going)

Provisioning

The Harstad base is located in the city centre and is in walking distance to the grocery stores, Vinmonopol (liquor store) and other shops.

There is also a variety of restaurants that you could choose to dine in.
